Rajasthan Royals

IPL Rajasthan Royals 2018 Team Players List

RR 2018 Team
The Rajasthan Royals are back in the IPL after a two year suspension and they will be looking to make an impact as soon as they return. Prior to their suspension they had success in the competition, winning it in 2008 and finishing runners up in 2013. This is a big season for them, they have something to prove on their return and they need to build a squad that people are going to love watching. IPL RR team 2018 players list is placed below.
Steve Smith (retained 12.5 crore), Ben Stokes (Rs 12.5 cr), Jaydev Unadkat (Rs 11.5 cr), Sanju Samson (Rs 8 cr), Jofra Archer (Rs 7.2 cr), Gowtham Krishnappa (Rs 6.2 cr), Jos Buttler (Rs 4.4 cr), Ajinkya Rahane (Rs 4 cr), Darcy Short (Rs 4 cr), Rahul Tripathi (Rs 3.4 cr), Dhawal Kulkarni (Rs 75 lakh), Zahir Khan Pakteen (Rs 60 lakh), Ben Laughlin (Rs 50 lakh), Dushmanta Chameera (Rs 50 lakh), Stuart Binny (Rs 50 lakh), Aryaman Vikram Birla (Rs 30 lakh), Anureet Singh Kathuria (Rs 30 lakh), Prashant Chopra (Rs 20 lakh), Ankit Sharma (Rs 20 lakh), Midhun S (rs 20 lakh), Shreyas Gopal (Rs 20 lakh), Jatin Saxena (Rs 20 lakh), Mahipal Lomror (Rs 20 lakh)
Steve Smith was the only player retained by Rajasthan but he is now unavailable for them. Smith has recently received a ban for his involvement in the Australian ball tampering investigation, so will not play in the IPL. His absence will be a big blow to the Royals, and other players are going to have to stand up in his absence and perform well.
Losing Smith at this late stage, just days before the tournament begins is a big blow for Rajasthan, and something they didn’t need going into their first season back from suspension. Someone in their team has to stand up and be the hero, it remains to be seen who that will be.
They went into the auction needing a lot of players, and as expected they were very active. However, it remains to be seen whether they have been able to put together a good enough team, they look to have a great middle order, but lack a star batsman to play alongside Smith at the top of the order, and their bowling looks a little weak.
The question will be for the Royals, can they take enough wickets to remain competitive? They appear to have a weaker bowling line up than most other teams, and this is going to be a huge test for them. If they fail, despite having many good, attacking batsmen, this could be a long season for them.
The fans in that region have had to wait two years to see some live cricket, and now they don’t have to wait much longer to see their team back in action.
